Garrison ISD faculty and staff have returned to campus. On Monday, they had a fantastic pep rally organized by the band and cheerleaders and their sponsors. Mr. Cam Barton emphasized to our teachers the significance of their roles. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making the welcome back a success.

This year, we’re adding a new feature called Rooms to our district app. Rooms enables you to have two-way parent-teacher conversations and keep up with classroom announcements. This means that you don’t need another app or tool to keep up with your child’s teachers and coursework. You’ll be able to find the vast majority of school and district information in one place: within our Garrison ISD app.
On Monday August 4, 2025, you'll receive an invite to Rooms by email or text. Once you receive the invite, you'll follow the link on your browser to create a login.
After you’ve created your login, you can access Rooms through the Garrison ISD app. Once you’re there, you’ll see a toggle at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Just touch Rooms to get started. If you have multiple children attending our district, you’ll see them both listed in the menu section of Rooms.
You will not see your student's specific rooms until after August 11th and their registration is complete.
We hope this offers you a richer, simpler—and ultimately—easier communication experience.

We are excited to see our little bulldogs prepared for school and ready to greet some new faces. Chelsea Brewer will be coming on board at Garrison Elementary as our Response to Intervention Specialist. Courtney Palm will be joining the Elementary as a Special Education Teacher. Shelby McCarthy and Nina Vick will be part of our 2nd grade team. We are thrilled to have these wonderful ladies with us at Garrison. Please help us in making them feel welcomed.
We are thrilled to welcome more individuals to Garrison ISD and assist them in their new roles. Stephen Autrey will be joining us as the High School Principal. He brings a wealth of experience, and we are eager to have him on our team. Mr. Rucker, who became a bulldog last year, is moving to our Special Education department and will be located in the MAC Building. Additionally, Renee Verdine will also be transitioning from the middle school to the MAC Building. We appreciate their readiness to take on these positions. Erin Stephens will be joining us this year in the fine arts department as the elementary music teacher and will also help with the band. Let's all extend a warm welcome to them!

Important Reminders:
Please enter both guardians' email addresses and phone numbers (if applicable), they must be different.
It is essential to have at least two emergency contacts in addition to the guardians, and having more is even better.

We are thrilled to welcome new faces and share some moves. Tressa Feazell will join us as a paraprofessional in the MAC building. SuzannahTalbot will take on the role of our new ISS paraprofessional. And finally, Amanda Mora will be working in the library! We are looking forward to the 2025-2026 school year.
Let's give a warm welcome to some new hires at Garrison High School! Coach Sabra Allison, Lacy Clinard, and Coach Chris Davis are joining the District, so let's make them feel at home. Additionally, Amy Roberts is transitioning from the Middle School to the High School.

Please be informed that an Active Shooter Training session is scheduled to take place on the Garrison ISD campus from July 14 to July 18, 2025. Local Law Enforcement will be present on campus to undergo training utilizing the facilities of Garrison ISD.

For those who submitted applications for transfer to Garrison ISD, the board approved transfers on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Letters will be sent out on June 30th detailing the status of your transfer. If you do not receive a letter by mail, please reach out to the administration at 936-347-7000 ext. 7000 after July 7, 2025.
Transfer applications remain open, subject to student records and the availability of space in the respective grade level. If you are interested in transferring to Garrison ISD, please contact us for further information.

Due to problems with the internet, EOC testing for today is postponed. Those scheduled to test yesterday and today will test Monday, June 23, 2025 at 8 AM.
Due to an internet outage EOC re-testing was not completed today. We will update you on the status of internet service by 7 AM tomorrow.
