🎄💙 Angel Tree Adoption – Child Development in Action 💙🎄
Our Child Development students had the opportunity to adopt a child from our local Angel Tree, turning classroom learning into real-world impact. Through this project, students applied Child Development TEKS by:
✨ Identifying age-appropriate toys and activities that support physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development
✨ Selecting basic necessities while understanding the importance of health, safety, and daily care needs
✨ Practicing budgeting, planning, and decision-making skills
✨ Demonstrating empathy, responsibility, and the role of families and communities in supporting children
This experience helped students see how developmental concepts go beyond the classroom and into the lives of real children. We are incredibly proud of their compassion, teamwork, and commitment to serving others this holiday season.

🌟 Icon of Integrity Project 🌟
Our Family and Community Services students are hard at work creating a meaningful project called Icon of Integrity for our 2nd–8th grade students during the first semester.
These students were carefully chosen by their teachers because they consistently demonstrate the true characteristics of integrity—honesty, responsibility, kindness, and doing the right thing even when no one is watching.
We are so proud of our FCS students for leading by example and helping recognize those who make our school community a better place every day. 💙

🎄🧦 Spreading Holiday Cheer! 🧦🎄
Our Garrison FCCLA officers delivered cozy holiday socks and heartfelt cards to the residents at our local nursing home! 💖
These sweet gifts were made possible thanks to the generosity of all of Garrison ISD and the hard work of our Family & Community Services class. Watching our students serve with compassion and brighten someone’s day is what the holiday season is all about. ✨
We are so proud of their kindness, leadership, and community spirit. 💛💙
