Huge shoutout to our Applied Nutrition & Dietetics students for preparing chicken salad sandwich boxes for the hospitality room at our home track meet! 🥪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

These students planned, prepared, and packaged each box with care to help us serve our coaches and guests well. This was such a valuable hands-on lesson for them — giving them real-world experience in food preparation, portion control, time management, food safety, and presentation, all while serving our community.

Learning goes far beyond the classroom, and today they truly stepped up. So proud of their teamwork, responsibility, and willingness to serve! 👏 🐾

Cabela Brewer has completed the 40 book challenge in 5th grade. This is a huge accomplishment as students are challenged to read 40 books (some challenges are smaller, agreed upon in advance) across a variety of genres in order to help build vocabulary, increase reading stamina (helps us FOCUS for longer periods of time) and enhance comprehension. Cabela has read books from each of the following genres: Fantasy, Science Fiction, Historical Fiction, Mystery, Informational/Non-Fiction, Biography/Autobiography, Poetry, and Realistic Fiction. Cabela’s favorite book she has read this year is “The One and Only Ivan.”
