2026-2027 Varsity Football Schedule

Congratulations to Kutter Shriver on being the First Catch in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Calf Scramble. Kutter received a belt buckle and $2,000 scramble certificate. Kutter will return at the end of the month to compete in the super scramble series and a chance to win an additional $10,000 to use towards his 2027 Market Steer project.

Huge shoutout to our Applied Nutrition & Dietetics students for preparing chicken salad sandwich boxes for the hospitality room at our home track meet! 🥪🏃♂️🏃♀️
These students planned, prepared, and packaged each box with care to help us serve our coaches and guests well. This was such a valuable hands-on lesson for them — giving them real-world experience in food preparation, portion control, time management, food safety, and presentation, all while serving our community.
Learning goes far beyond the classroom, and today they truly stepped up. So proud of their teamwork, responsibility, and willingness to serve! 👏 🐾

Cabela Brewer has completed the 40 book challenge in 5th grade. This is a huge accomplishment as students are challenged to read 40 books (some challenges are smaller, agreed upon in advance) across a variety of genres in order to help build vocabulary, increase reading stamina (helps us FOCUS for longer periods of time) and enhance comprehension. Cabela has read books from each of the following genres: Fantasy, Science Fiction, Historical Fiction, Mystery, Informational/Non-Fiction, Biography/Autobiography, Poetry, and Realistic Fiction. Cabela’s favorite book she has read this year is “The One and Only Ivan.”

Winter Break 2026!! Enjoy the long weekend!

So proud of our Garrison FCCLA students for an incredible showing at Regionals in Waco, TX this past Friday! 💙❤️ They competed against schools ranging from 1A–6A, along with campuses dedicated solely to CTE programs — and they represented Garrison with excellence, creativity, and professionalism.
Throughout the year, these students poured their hearts into projects covering powerful and relevant topics like family health and parent/teen relationships (with an Encanto-inspired board), driving safety in school zones, career exploration in marine biology, and student mental health awareness through their Inside Out-themed project, “Inside Your Mind.” We also had three students compete in Job Interview events and two students showcase their talents in Texas Cupcakes, where they designed themed cupcakes and displays while presenting to judges.
Their hard work truly paid off, and we could not be more proud of their dedication and growth this year. 🎉 A HUGE congratulations to Suhani Kumar and Brianna Nolan for advancing to the FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Dallas this April! Please help us celebrate all of our amazing competitors and wish our state qualifiers the best of luck! ⭐👏
