Our fourth grade started last week off with some cool team building activities with their students. Take a look at one the activities. All grade levels are rocking and rolling! Stay tuned for campus updates throughout the school year!

GIFTED AND TALENTED REFERRALS ARE STARTING NOW!!!!!!!

Congratulations to Garrison Elementary for achieving an "A" rating in the 2024-2025 Texas Education Accountability Rating. An "A" signifies that a campus is performing at the highest level according to the state's accountability standards. We are incredibly proud of all the hard work from both staff and students that made this possible.

House Bill 1481 mandates that all student cell phones and personal communication devices must be turned off and kept out of sight during the school day. This statewide legislation aims to foster an environment dedicated to teaching, learning, and student engagement.
For the complete policy and a list of consequences, please check your campus handbook.
We appreciate your cooperation in discussing this policy with your students and for assisting us in maintaining a strong emphasis on teaching and learning throughout the school day.

You should receive an invitation in the next few days of us receiving this form back. We will also send home paper forms, it is not necessary to fill out both.

Garrison ISD faculty and staff have returned to campus. On Monday, they had a fantastic pep rally organized by the band and cheerleaders and their sponsors. Mr. Cam Barton emphasized to our teachers the significance of their roles. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making the welcome back a success.

Attention Garrison ISD Parents/Guardians:
You asked, and we listened! This year, we’re adding a new feature called Rooms to our district app. Rooms enables you to have two-way parent-teacher conversations and keep up with classroom announcements. This means that you don’t need another app or tool to keep up with your child’s teachers and coursework. You’ll be able to find the vast majority of school and district information in one place: within our Garrison ISD app.
On Monday August 4, 2025, you'll receive an invite to Rooms by email or text. Once you receive the invite, you'll follow the link on your browser to create a login.
After you’ve created your login, you can access Rooms through the Garrison ISD app. Once you’re there, you’ll see a toggle at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Just touch Rooms to get started. If you have multiple children attending our district, you’ll see them both listed in the menu section of Rooms.
You will not see your student's specific rooms until after August 11th and their registration is complete.
We hope this offers you a richer, simpler—and ultimately—easier communication experience.
