It's Homecoming Week!
This Friday, October 23, 2026, we are throwing it back and celebrating two incredible milestones in our school's football history at our Homecoming game! We invite all players from the legendary 1981 and 2001 State Finalist Football Teams to join us for a special halftime recognition.
Here is everything you need to know:
🎟️ Admission & Check-In:
• Free Admission is provided for alumni players only.
• Please head to the ticket booth before kickoff to sign in so we can ensure you are properly recognized during the halftime ceremony.
⏰ Game Time:
• Kickoff is at 7:30 PM. Please arrive early to check in!
💺 Seating:
• Special designated seating will be available for our honored alumni at the South Endzone.
🚗 Special Accommodations:
• If you require special arrangements for parking or field access, please call 936-347-7000 ext. 7000 during regular school hours so we can get you taken care of.

• Seating Enforcement: No loitering; all spectators must remain seated in the stands (no standing on railings or walkways).
• Metal Chairs: Legs must have rubber protective tips and smooth edges.
• Zero Tolerance: Alcohol, tobacco, weapons, and firearms are prohibited by state law on school property.
• Students: Middle school students and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

A BIG congratulations to Timber Vance for completing her 40 Book Challenge on the very last day of the 1st Six Weeks! 🎉👏
The goal of the 40 Book Challenge is about much more than reaching a number. Students are encouraged to finish complete books, explore a variety of genres, build reading stamina, and discover what they enjoy as readers. Research consistently shows that the more students read, the stronger they become in vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and overall reading ability.
Timber accepted the challenge and got to work—40 complete books in just six weeks! 📖 What an accomplishment and an incredible start to her 5th-grade reading year!
